Little Lightmoor Farm is a small family run smallholding in the Forest of Dean. We keep a few rare and traditional breeds and produce fresh eggs, pork, and other local produce on a small scale- always with care and respect for the animals.
About us
Little Lightmoor Farm began as a small family project, started with the hope of raising animals in the right way- with care, respect, and purpose. What began with a few chickens has grown into a small collection of rare and traditional breeds, raised on a small scale here in the Forest of Dean.
For us, it's as much about learning as it is about farming. We want our children to grow up understanding where food comes from and how to care for the animals that provides it.
We're taking things one step at a time- starting small, learning as we go, and seeing where this journey takes us.
Our Vision
At Little Lightmoor Farm, our vision is to grow carefully and sustainably - expanding at a pace that keeps animal welfare and quality at the heart of everything we do.
We aim to slowly increase our chicken and egg sales while developing our breeding of pedigree Kune Kune pigs. Over time, we'll look to add other traditional and rare breeds to the farm as we continue to learn and improve.
Supporting our community and sharing what we do is just as important to us as farming itself.
